Lemon Ginger Detox Tea to Lose Weight




Today I’m going to talk about my go to quick detox tea, Lemon Ginger Tea. It’s very nourishing and replenishing for your body and is great for helping your body clean itself of toxins. I’ll go over the easy lemon ginger tea detox recipe that can easily be modified to your preferred tastes.
This is a really simple recipe for Lemon Ginger Tea, so simple it’s the first tea I ever made for doing a detox and it’s still one of my favorites that I use all the time.
What we’ll need is:
  • 2 whole lemons
  • 1 Piece of ginger root
  • 1 table ground cinnamon (this is completely optional)
As for kitchenware, what you’ll need is a small bowl, shredder, pot for boiling water and a pitcher.

Here we go, follow these steps to make the Lemon Ginger Detox Tea:

  • Step One – Boil water on the stove
  • Step Two – while water is boiling grate the ginger root and put it into a small bowl or container.
  • Step Three – Pour the boiled water over the grated ginger and let it steep for 10 minutes
  • Step Four – While you’re waiting for the ginger to steep slice the lemons and put the slices into a pitcher
  • Step Five – After the ginger has steeped for 10 minutes use a strainer to pour the ginger water into the pitcher with the lemons. Tip: use a spoon to squeeze the chunks of ginger into the strainer and get out all the juices you can from the ginger
  • Step Six – Fill the pitcher with water, distilled is preferred if you have it.
  • Step Seven – Stir the mixture in the pitcher and put it in the fridge for 24 hours
  • Step Eight – Drink the tea first thing in the morning, a great way to start your day! Sometimes I like to have a glass before heading to bed as well
This recipe is so simple and easy to modify. One thing that people like to add is cinnamon, you can do this at step 6 if you’d like. Cinnamon is great for helping to control blood sugar and insulin levels.
